Gary Railway is a Class III short-line switching railroad operating about 63 miles of yard track in Gary, Indiana, primarily serving the U.S. Steel Gary Works and several other steel processors. It is owned and operated by Transtar, Inc. and emerged as the successor operator of remaining local trackage after Canadian National acquired most of the former Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway in 2009.
