Ertl is an American brand of die-cast metal toy replicas, especially farm equipment (John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, AGCO) as well as cars, trucks, and airplanes. Founded in 1945 by Fred Ertl Sr. in Dubuque, Iowa and later based in Dyersville, Iowa, it operated independently and under several owners (Racing Champions/RC2) before becoming a brand of Japanese toy company Tomy in 2011.
