Equal Exchange is a worker-owned, for-profit cooperative based in West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, that imports and distributes Fair Trade organic coffee, tea, cocoa, and other food products sourced directly from small-farmer cooperatives in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Founded in 1986, it is the oldest and largest Fair Trade coffee company in the United States and caps executive pay at four times its lowest-paid worker's wage.
