Deseret Book Company is a publishing and retail company wholly owned by Deseret Management Corporation, the for-profit holding company of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It operates dozens of bookstores across the western United States and publishes Latter-day Saint-themed books, music, and films, formed in 1919 from a merger of two earlier LDS Church-affiliated bookstores.
