Contact Press Images is an independent photojournalism agency founded in February 1976 by Robert Pledge and David Burnett, representing photographers who retain their own copyrights. It focuses on long-term, photographer-driven documentary essays covering conflict, human rights, and social issues rather than disposable daily news, and also curates exhibitions and books. It is headquartered in New York City with an additional office in Paris opened in 1990.
