Circuit City was a major American consumer electronics retail chain that filed for bankruptcy and liquidated its stores in 2008-2009. The brand was acquired and relaunched in 2018 as an online-only retailer by Circuit City Corporation under owner Ronny Shmoel, operating in a much smaller e-commerce capacity than its historical big-box stores.
