Bubba Gump Shrimp Company is an American seafood restaurant chain inspired by the 1994 film Forrest Gump, which opened its first location in Monterey, California in 1996. Featuring shrimp dishes and film-themed decor and trivia, the chain now operates roughly 30 restaurants worldwide and has been owned by Houston-based Landry's, Inc. since 2010.
