Ballast Point Brewing Company is an American craft brewery founded in 1996 in San Diego, California, known for beers such as Sculpin IPA. It grew out of a homebrew supply shop, was sold to Constellation Brands in 2015 for roughly $1 billion, and was later acquired by Chicago-based Kings & Convicts Brewing Co. in 2019 after its value and operations contracted significantly.
