Avocent is an IT infrastructure management brand formed in 2000 from the merger of Apex Inc. and Cybex Computer Products Corporation, specializing in KVM switches, console servers, and remote/out-of-band server and power management. Acquired by Emerson Electric in 2009, it transitioned to Vertiv ownership in 2016 and continues today as an active product line within Vertiv's IT infrastructure portfolio.
