Ultrasound Technologist
Ultrasound technologists, also called sonographers, use sound-wave imaging to visualize organs, tissues, and developing fetuses, working closely with physicians in hospitals, OB/GYN offices, and diagnostic imaging centers. Their core skill is ultrasound imaging technique, often supplemented by Doppler imaging to assess blood flow, all grounded in strong anatomy knowledge to identify normal versus abnormal findings. Direct, empathetic patient care matters greatly given sensitive exams, and results are archived through PACS systems.
