What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience in rocket engine turbopump or related turbomachinery design, build, and testing
- Demonstrated ownership of hardware product development
- Ability to manage multiple hardware workflows to meet delivery dates
- Understanding of hydrodynamic and aerodynamic turbomachinery fundamentals
- Experience with CAD tools and configuration management
- Experience designing and testing inducers, impellers, volutes, turbines, nozzles, shafts, bearings, and seals
- Experience with axial and radial tolerance stackups and material selection for rotating assemblies
- Knowledge of secondary flow and axial thrust balance modeling
- Proficiency in heat transfer, compressible and incompressible flow, and cryogenics
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status (ITAR requirement)
- Willing to relocate to Seattle, WA
Nice to have
- Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
- Experience in hydrostatic bearing design and coatings development
- Familiarity with high-speed data analysis tools for vibration monitoring
