What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 8–12 years of mechanical engineering experience
- Deep expertise in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, structural integrity, and mechanical system dynamics
- Direct experience designing or integrating complex liquid-cooling loops
- Strong understanding of thermal engineering fundamentals to collaborate with thermal engineers
- Proficiency with mechanical CAD tools
- Knowledge of mechanical codes and standards (ASME, ASHRAE, NFPA)
- Experience collaborating with external design and engineering partners
- Ability to work in fast-moving environments with concurrent hardware and compute co-development
Nice to have
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Direct experience in modular data center design
- Background in aerospace, automotive, energy, or industrial process hardware
- Experience leading design-for-manufacturability efforts with contract manufacturers
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and full-lifecycle drawing packages (30/60/90/100%)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
