What this role is

Relativity Space is seeking an experienced electronics inspector to perform in-process and final quality inspections of circuit board assemblies at supplier facilities and in-house, with extensive travel to ensure avionics components meet aerospace standards. This role suits someone with several years of hands-on PCBA inspection experience who can work independently, travel frequently, and help establish quality processes for a growing rocket manufacturer.

Required

Minimum 3 years hands-on PCBA, electronics, SMT, or high-reliability electronic assembly inspection experience
Ability to travel 50-80%
Work independently without supervision
Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 Class 3 standards
Familiarity with staking, underfill, and conformal coating standards including IPC-610 Class 3 and NASA-STD-8739.1
High attention to detail for thorough inspections and compliance

Nice to have

Well-versed in process development and first-time quality efforts
Highly organized and able to provide structure to undefined areas
Familiarity with Certificates of Conformance, First Article Inspection, and source inspection documentation
Certified or previously certified in NASA-STD-8739.1, IPC-A-610, or J-STD-001
