What they ask for
Required
- Security expertise in at least one domain (engineering, GRC, or governance)
- Hands-on experience with customer security engagements (audits, questionnaires, contract terms, executive briefings)
- Ability to hold a security position under pressure and recognize when to escalate
- Verified knowledge of security claims before communicating them to customers
- Experience writing positions or playbooks that teammates use
- Clear written communication for internal documentation
- Ability to drive work through cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Comfortable working independently with self-directed structure
Nice to have
- 10+ years in security
- 3+ years in security leadership as Head of Security or equivalent at early-stage company
- Applied LLMs to security, GRC, or questionnaire automation
- Financial services security knowledge (third-party risk, DORA, PCI DSS)
- AI-specific trust topics (training data, retention, regional inference, encryption)
- Prior experience at companies under significant enterprise security scrutiny
- Strategic thinking and prioritization skills
- Understanding of AI system risks and ML/AI product security considerations
- Experience reviewing and refining security clauses in contract negotiations
