What they ask for

Required

  • Bachelor of Science in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent
  • 6+ years of experience designing, building, and commissioning tooling and fixtures for manufacturing, assembly, and test
  • Proficiency with CAD and FEA-based analysis software (NX and ANSYS Workbench preferred)
  • Full-cycle project completion experience
  • Experience managing tooling projects from vendor selection through commissioning

Nice to have

  • Expertise in design for manufacturability and design for assembly, including prototype-to-production transition
  • Knowledge of common manufacturing materials, GD&T, and tolerance/stack-up analysis
  • Understanding of common manufacturing processes and equipment (mills, lathes, welding, sheet-metal bending, lifting, rigging, assembly, inspection)
  • Experience with custom machine design including motors, actuators, linear rails, pneumatics, and bearings
