What they ask for
Required
- 5+ years journalism, reporting, anchoring, or hosting experience
- Exceptional live presentation and interviewing skills
- Strong news judgment and ability to explain complex topics clearly
- Proven ability to generate original story ideas
- Experience in fast-paced, deadline-driven newsroom environments
- Understanding of digital, streaming, and social media platforms
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and breaking news
Nice to have
- Experience hosting live television, streaming programs, or podcasts
- Knowledge of Chicago market and local issues
- Experience creating digital-first and social media content
- Degree in Meteorology or weather communication experience
