- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years regulatory compliance, legal, risk, or advisory experience in fintech, payments, or financial services
- Deep expertise in U.S. state Money Transmission Laws
- Knowledge of federal consumer protection regulations (Reg E, UDAAP, E-Sign Act)
- Working knowledge of AML/BSA, OFAC, sanctions, and financial reporting
- Direct experience participating in regulatory examinations
- Ability to translate complex regulatory questions into actionable requirements
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Track record as self-directed individual contributor driving cross-functional initiatives
Nice to have
- Professional certifications (CRCM, CAMS, or equivalent)
- Experience with GRC tools, Jira, or SQL
- AI-first mindset and experience using AI tools for compliance workflows
- Background in MSB compliance, bank-fintech partnerships, or multi-state licensing
