This role leads the product data foundation for Ibotta's performance marketing platform, owning the catalog system that powers campaign targeting and product identification at scale. You'll work across AI/ML, data infrastructure, and product teams to build and improve the systems that keep product data complete, accurate, and usable for hundreds of millions of consumers.

What they ask for

Required

  • 5+ years of product management experience
  • 2+ years owning backend, platform, or infrastructure-heavy domain
  • BA/BS in computer science, engineering, or related technical field
  • Familiarity with data modeling, APIs, and data pipelines
  • Ability to interrogate data and contribute to technical design conversations
  • Understanding of ML-assisted data systems and precision/recall trade-offs
  • Daily active use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar)
  • Experience building AI-powered workflows, automations, or integrations
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated customer obsession and ability to convert insights into product direction

Nice to have

  • Experience with CPG or retail product data standards (GTIN/UPC, GS1)
  • Experience with syndicated data providers (Circana, NielsenIQ, Numerator)
  • Background in performance marketing, adtech, or retail media products
