What they ask for
Required
- Associate degree in Electro-Optics, Photonics, Electronics Technology, or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on optical or electro-optical technician experience in defense, aerospace, or precision optics manufacturing
- Demonstrated proficiency in optical alignment, interferometric testing, and precision opto-mechanical assembly
- Proficiency with optical test instruments including interferometers and autocollimators
- Ability to read and interpret optical and mechanical engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience with cleanroom operations at ISO Class 5-7
- Active U.S. Secret security clearance at time of hire
- U.S. Citizen or eligible to be a U.S. Person under ITAR/EAR regulations
Nice to have
- Coursework or training in geometrical optics, laser principles, or optical instrumentation
- Experience with fiber optic systems, free-space laser systems, or infrared imaging systems
- Prior experience supporting MIL-SPEC or government-contracted programs
- Familiarity with ERP/MES systems like SAP or Oracle
- Data reduction tools experience with Excel, MATLAB, or LabVIEW
- Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Experience with LIDAR, EO/IR sensor systems, or directed energy systems
- Familiarity with Zemax or Code V optical design software
- IPC-610 or J-STD-001 soldering and electronics assembly certification
- Experience with laser safety protocols and Laser Safety Officer assistant role
- Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement training
