What they ask for
Required
- 3+ years leading engineering teams in travel industry with supplier integrations (flights, hotels, trains, Direct APIs, GDS, NDC)
- 10+ years software engineering experience with at least 5 years in engineering leadership directly managing software engineers
- Proven track record of shipping high-quality software in fast-paced environments
- Full people management lifecycle experience: hiring, onboarding, performance management, career development, promotions
- Experience coaching engineers at multiple levels including senior engineers and emerging technical leads
- Strong technical fundamentals in distributed systems, API design, and backend service architecture
- Solid understanding of agile delivery methodologies and software development lifecycle
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English
- Comfort working in distributed, multilingual engineering organization across time zones
- Computer Science degree or equivalent practical experience
Nice to have
- Experience steering organizational transformation and maximizing agile methodologies
- Hands-on experience with modern software development tooling and openness to AI-assisted development tools
- Data-driven, results-oriented mindset with ability to rapidly learn new business domains
