Required

  • 7+ years building backend services and data infrastructure in Scala, Java, or similar JVM language
  • 7+ years designing and operating high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems at petabyte scale
  • 3+ years with streaming platforms like Kafka or Pub/Sub
  • 3+ years building data pipelines on GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Experience with RPC frameworks such as Finagle, gRPC, or Akka
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, version control, code review, and automated testing

Nice to have

  • Experience building reusable frameworks or SDKs for other engineering teams
  • Apache Beam expertise including custom transforms and windowing
  • Change Data Capture patterns and MySQL binlog replication
  • Data encryption, key management, and mTLS
  • Schema management and data governance frameworks
  • Infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, and container deployments
  • Track record mentoring engineers and driving technical alignment
