What they ask for
Required
- 7+ years building backend services and data infrastructure in Scala, Java, or similar JVM language
- 7+ years designing and operating high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems at petabyte scale
- 3+ years with streaming platforms like Kafka or Pub/Sub
- 3+ years building data pipelines on GCP, AWS, or Azure
- Experience with RPC frameworks such as Finagle, gRPC, or Akka
- Knowledge of CI/CD, version control, code review, and automated testing
Nice to have
- Experience building reusable frameworks or SDKs for other engineering teams
- Apache Beam expertise including custom transforms and windowing
- Change Data Capture patterns and MySQL binlog replication
- Data encryption, key management, and mTLS
- Schema management and data governance frameworks
- Infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, and container deployments
- Track record mentoring engineers and driving technical alignment
