What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Industrial Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Knowledge of manufacturing process development, production documentation, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methods
- Working knowledge of optical assembly, alignment, inspection, metrology, precision handling, or optomechanical integration
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, optical drawings, specifications, and test data
- Strong communication, hands-on problem-solving, data analysis, and cross-functional coordination skills
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status (ITAR compliance)
Nice to have
- Experience in aerospace, defense, space, medical, laser, imaging, lidar, semiconductor, or high-reliability optical manufacturing
- Experience with optical alignment, precision bonding, optical cleaning, or contamination control in production
- Familiarity with optical lab equipment such as interferometers, autocollimators, collimators, or alignment telescopes
- Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, PFMEA, or statistical process control
- Experience with ERP/MRP, MES, PLM, CAD, or data-acquisition systems
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, NASA workmanship standards, cleanroom practices, or ESD controls
