What they ask for

Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of mechanical design, packaging, or thermal management for aerospace or ruggedized electronics
  • Proven delivery of mechanical systems from concept through qualification and flight
  • CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent)
  • Structural and thermal analysis tool experience
  • Hands-on hardware building, testing, and debugging in a lab environment
  • Cross-functional communication and collaboration in fast-paced teams

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with NASA or spaceflight structural verification standards and environmental testing
  • Mechanical systems design experience for spaceflight avionics or payloads
  • High-density electronics cooling design (conduction, heat pipes, cold plates)
  • Knowledge of materials and processes for vacuum and radiation environments
