What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of mechanical design, packaging, or thermal management for aerospace or ruggedized electronics
- Proven delivery of mechanical systems from concept through qualification and flight
- CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, NX, or equivalent)
- Structural and thermal analysis tool experience
- Hands-on hardware building, testing, and debugging in a lab environment
- Cross-functional communication and collaboration in fast-paced teams
Nice to have
- Familiarity with NASA or spaceflight structural verification standards and environmental testing
- Mechanical systems design experience for spaceflight avionics or payloads
- High-density electronics cooling design (conduction, heat pipes, cold plates)
