What this role is

A satellite manufacturer seeks an engineer to manage printed circuit board assembly from design through production, coordinating with design teams, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to meet quality and delivery targets. This role suits someone with 5+ years of PCB/PCBA fabrication experience who can enforce design-for-manufacturability principles and troubleshoot production issues.

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years PCB/PCBA fabrication facility experience
  • 3+ years supplier quality, manufacturing, or design experience
  • Board assembly process and equipment experience
  • Led DFX reviews to manufacturing, testability, quality and reliability standards
  • IPC-610 certification or significant familiarity
  • Onsite 5 days per week
  • U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • 7+ years PCBA/PCB supply chain, manufacturing or engineering experience
  • 5+ years industry standard PLM and DFX systems experience (Mentor/Valor preferred)
  • Design and process failure modes and effects analysis experience
  • Familiarity with IPC standards for PCB, PCBA and RFPC fabrication, assembly and test
  • Polymeric application experience including conformal coating, staking and underfill
