Crusoe is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and operate the observability infrastructure that powers their cloud platform, building high-throughput systems for metrics and logs that serve customers running AI workloads at scale. What they ask for

Required

  • 8+ years of software development experience
  • Sustained ownership of production distributed systems
  • Deep hands-on experience designing and operating distributed systems at scale
  • Experience solving real problems in sharding, replication, consistency, load balancing, and concurrency
  • Strong programming fundamentals in Go or another modern compiled language
  • Comfort with Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD
  • Design judgment at staff level: ability to scope ambiguous problems and surface non-functional requirements
  • On-call experience on a customer-facing service
  • Track record of driving technical outcomes across team boundaries
  • Mentorship experience making engineers around you better

Nice to have

  • Experience building or operating large-scale data infrastructure such as time-series databases, log aggregation, streaming pipelines, or distributed tracing backends
  • Familiarity with technologies like Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Loki, OpenTelemetry, Kafka, or Vector
