Required
- Bachelor's degree in materials science, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, aerospace engineering, or related discipline
- 3+ years of professional materials engineering experience
- Expertise in material selection, characterization, qualification, testing, and failure analysis
- Background across multiple material systems including metals, soft goods, coatings, powder metallurgy, welding, and heat treatment
- Experience with material characterization techniques and tools
- Track record of material and process decisions validated through flight or high-reliability hardware programs
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status (ITAR requirement)
Nice to have
- Master's degree or PhD in materials science, chemical engineering, or related field
- Experience architecting M&P programs for rocket systems across full development lifecycle
- Familiarity with ASTM, NASA, and AWS industry standards
- Expertise in fracture mechanics, corrosion control, statistics, and failure analysis
