What they ask for
Required
- Experience building production detection and enforcement pipelines with feature engineering, rules, models, and monitoring
- Strong knowledge of fraud detection methods including label design, precision-recall tradeoffs, calibration, and threshold selection
- Proficiency in Python or similar programming language and SQL
- Advanced degree (Ph.D. in quantitative field or M.S. with 4+ years industry experience)
- Ability to partner with Product and Engineering teams to translate analysis into production systems
- Experience working on ambiguously defined problems and deconstructing them into precise, tractable components
Nice to have
- Background in ads fraud, financial fraud, account risk, Trust & Safety, or platform integrity
- Experience applying LLMs to data science workflows like threat discovery or investigation automation
- Familiarity with complex behavioral networks and large-scale activity patterns
