- 7+ years of backend software engineering experience
- Strong backend engineering fundamentals in a statically typed language (Java or Go)
- Hands-on experience building and operating cloud-native systems on AWS
- Experience designing distributed systems and high-concurrency, low-latency services
- System design fundamentals including concurrency, scalability, and performance optimization
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
- CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions experience
- Production service operations including on-call and incident response
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and define technical strategy
- Track record of owning production systems end-to-end
- Bachelor's degree
