What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in RF or Electrical Engineering
- 15+ years developing space payload hardware and software, preferably communications systems
- Thorough understanding of RF link budget and RF active/passive components
- Experience designing wireless communication systems
- Understanding of antenna theory basics
- Hands-on testing, troubleshooting and debugging of RF systems
- Fluency in Linux, Windows and macOS
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- ITAR eligibility (U.S. citizen, green card holder, refugee, or asylee status, or ability to obtain Department of State authorization)
Nice to have
- Hands-on RF Front End design, SDR, antenna, LNA, SSPA, filter, coupler, RF switch, PLL, DC-DC converter, and microcontroller experience
- Programming proficiency in C++, C, Python, or MATLAB
- Electrical design software proficiency (Altium Designer, ADS, SolidWorks)
- Proficiency with VNA, protocol signal generator, and spectrum analyzer
- Proficiency with Altium schematic capture and PCB layout
- Strong knowledge of RF air interfaces and multiple access schemes (TDMA, FDMA, OFDMA, CDMA)
- Hardware and software systems integration experience
- Microcontroller, FPGA, and SDR programming experience
- Knowledge of communications and networking protocols (IP, TCP/IP, DVB-S/S2/S2X, CCSDS, LoRA, GSE Encapsulation, ZeroMQ, VXLAN, DHCP, Tailscale, Ethernet)
