What they ask for
Required
- PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related field
- 8+ years post-PhD AI/ML research experience
- Strong publication record in top-tier venues (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, KDD, ACL)
- Deep expertise in at least one of: decision-focused AI, probabilistic modeling, causal inference, simulation-based planning, agentic/multi-agent systems, neuro-symbolic AI, or LLM-based reasoning
- Strong foundations in deep learning, optimization, and statistical machine learning
- Demonstrated ability to lead research projects and direct multiple concurrent workstreams
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or equivalent)
- Strong communication and ability to influence across teams
- Track record of translating research to real-world industry impact
Nice to have
- Experience as a tech lead in research
- Active engagement with research community (program committees, reviewing, workshops)
- Familiarity with Intuit's product domains: tax preparation, accounting, personal finance, or small business management
