What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or equivalent
- 15+ years of experience designing, building, and commissioning tooling and fixtures for manufacturing, assembly, and test
- Proficiency with CAD and FEA-based analysis software (NX and ANSYS Workbench preferred)
- Experience completing full-cycle projects from concept to commissioning
- Experience managing tooling projects including vendor selection, fabrication, inspection, and installation
Nice to have
- Expertise in design for manufacturability and design for assembly from prototype to production
- Understanding of common manufacturing materials, GD&T, and tolerance/stack-up analysis
- Knowledge of common manufacturing processes and equipment (mills, lathes, welding, sheet-metal bending, assembly, inspection)
- Experience designing custom machines with motors, actuators, linear rails, pneumatics, and bearings
