Required
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering with control systems focus
- 7+ years experience (or 6 years with Master's, or 4 years with PhD) in vehicle dynamics, flight controls, or simulation
- C++ production experience
- Matlab and Simulink experience
- Expert knowledge of aircraft dynamics, control, stability, and handling qualities
- Experience tuning and optimizing control systems in simulation and real-world environments
- Ability to obtain SECRET clearance
Nice to have
- Master's or PhD in relevant engineering discipline with control systems focus
- Modern Control Theory expertise (LQR/LQG, Adaptive Control, Robust Control, MPC)
- Ability to extract linear aircraft state space models from nonlinear equations of motion
- Design or selection experience with servos, inertial navigation systems, air data units, or vision-based navigation
- Kalman Filter knowledge
- System identification techniques
- Familiarity with git and continuous integration/delivery practices
