Required
- 3+ years of engineering experience with meaningful 0→1 or early-stage work
- Backend and data-oriented generalist instincts
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Comfort across infrastructure, application logic, and data systems
- Ability to create structure and move quickly in ambiguity
- Strong technical judgment on delivery versus architecture tradeoffs
- Excellent written and verbal communication for senior stakeholders
- Ability to independently scope customer needs and plan execution
Nice to have
- Prior founding engineer experience at a successful startup
- Experience extending an existing platform into a new domain
- Track record of converting customer-specific work into reusable infrastructure or product
- Familiarity with ML, NLP, or LLM systems
