What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA designation
- 10+ years in public accounting, internal audit, operational due diligence, risk advisory, or financial services auditing
- Experience evaluating internal controls, financial statements, and operational processes
- Understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment frameworks, and control testing
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Nice to have
- Experience conducting operational due diligence of asset managers, hedge funds, private equity, private credit, or real estate managers
- Knowledge of alternative investment structures, fund operations, and valuation practices
- Familiarity with SEC-registered investment adviser requirements
- Additional certifications (CIA, CFA, CAIA, CISA)
- Experience reviewing SOC 1 and SOC 2 reports
