What this role is
Lead a newly formed team detecting and investigating threats related to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and weapons development on Anthropic's AI platform. This role suits experienced threat intelligence analysts or security researchers with deep expertise in biosecurity and nonproliferation who are ready to build a rigorous program from the ground up.

Required
- Deep domain expertise in biosecurity, chemical defense, weapons nonproliferation, or CBRN-E threats
- Team leadership and senior domain expert status with mentorship and program-building experience
- Experience with threat actor profiling and threat intelligence analysis frameworks
- Hands-on experience with large language models and AI misuse risks
- Stakeholder management across researchers, policy experts, legal teams, and government partners
- Ability to present analytical work to technical and non-technical audiences
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in biological sciences, chemistry, biodefense, or related field
- Real-world experience countering weapons of mass destruction in intelligence or defense
- Government agency or national security organization experience
- Background in AI safety or machine learning security
- Experience building and scaling threat detection systems
- Active Top Secret security clearance
