What this role is
This role leads the thermal engineering team responsible for ensuring Terran R launch vehicle components survive extreme temperature conditions across all flight phases and ground operations. You'll architect thermal systems, conduct multi-level analyses, direct engineers, and oversee testing while working closely with hardware and cross-functional teams to solve complex vehicle integration challenges.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- 5+ years thermal analysis experience
- Proficiency in component and system level thermal and fluids analysis
- Experience on an integrated vehicle program
- Hands-on experience with test plans, testing, instrumentation, and data analysis at component and system level
- Experience solving complex problems on integrated vehicles with design teams
- Proficiency in an engineering scripting language like MATLAB or Python
Nice to have
- Graduate degree in engineering or related field
- 8+ years thermal analysis experience
- Familiarity with liquid rocket stage and engine architecture
