What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent
- 4-15+ years of mechanical design experience
- Strong CAD design skills in Solidworks
- Finite Element analysis experience with Femap or Ansys
- Knowledge of GD&T and design for manufacturability
- Demonstrated ability to design and procure complex mechanical assemblies with 30-40 components in aerospace or similar industry
- Passion for hardware development in fast-paced environments
- Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers
- U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status
Nice to have
- Experience defining vibration environments and running mechanical testing on spacecraft components
- Experience running a development program while delegating to a small team
- Experience synthesizing requirements and flowing them down to sub-scale verification builds and testing
