This role leads electrical infrastructure design for Anthropic's rapidly expanding data center portfolio, managing everything from utility connections through to rack-level power delivery. What they ask for

Required

  • 10+ years electrical engineering experience in mission-critical facilities with substantial data center work
  • Deep knowledge of US electrical codes (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, UL/ANSI standards)
  • Hands-on experience with prefabricated and modular data center electrical infrastructure
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Experience producing and reviewing electrical construction documents and schematics
  • Knowledge of rack layout, structured cabling, power distribution in high-availability data centers
  • Proficiency with power systems analysis tools (SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower)
  • Understanding of critical power topologies and their trade-offs
  • Direct experience working with electrical equipment manufacturers and contractors
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-specialist stakeholders

Nice to have

  • RPEQ or CPEng registration or eligibility
  • Direct project experience in multiple US markets (Virginia, Texas, Arizona, Ohio, Oregon)
  • Track record building modular prefabricated products and driving offsite manufacturing
  • Background in medium-/high-voltage distribution, on-site generation, or energy storage integration
  • Experience with battery energy storage systems (BESS) or renewable generation
  • Exposure to liquid-cooled infrastructure design
  • Prior work at a hyperscaler, colocation provider, or MEP consultancy
  • Experience driving reference designs or standards across multiple sites
