What this role is
Astranis is seeking a Flight Software Engineer to develop and implement the software that commands and monitors their satellites in high orbit. This role is ideal for someone with strong C/C++ and embedded systems experience who wants to work on real spacecraft avionics, ground control systems, and hardware-in-the-loop testing at a well-funded company with active satellites already in operation.

Required
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Passion for building in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Experience with C and/or C++
- Experience with Linux and shell command line tools
Nice to have
- Real-time systems design experience
- Bare-metal embedded system software experience
- Ability to read schematics and datasheets, debug circuits with debuggers and logic analyzers
- Web development frameworks and databases experience
- Test framework development experience, especially Hardware in the Loop systems
