What they ask for

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Recreational Therapy, Child Development or related field
  • CTRS certification through National Council for Therapeutic Recreation OR CCLS certification through Association of Child Life Professionals
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
  • Facility Dog Training Placement Organization certification
  • Comfort working with children and animals
  • Ability to handle and lift patients and dogs
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Nice to have

  • Five years of experience as a Certified Child Life Specialist or Recreational Therapist in pediatric healthcare setting
