What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Recreational Therapy, Child Development or related field
- CTRS certification through National Council for Therapeutic Recreation OR CCLS certification through Association of Child Life Professionals
- BLS certification through American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
- Facility Dog Training Placement Organization certification
- Comfort working with children and animals
- Ability to handle and lift patients and dogs
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Nice to have
- Five years of experience as a Certified Child Life Specialist or Recreational Therapist in pediatric healthcare setting
