  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline
  • 5+ years of structural analysis, fatigue and damage tolerance, or structural life assessment experience
  • Team leadership experience (formal or informal)
  • Static stress analysis expertise
  • Structural mechanics knowledge
  • Fatigue and fracture mechanics knowledge
  • Understanding of structural failure modes in aerospace hardware
  • Proficiency with Nastran or Abaqus
  • Experience with Femap or similar pre/post-processing environments
  • Proficiency with NASGRO or AFGROW
  • Experience converting time-domain or spectral loads into fatigue damage predictions
  • Python or MATLAB scripting ability
  • Ability to independently scope, execute, review, and defend structural analyses

Nice to have

  • Master's or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
  • Launch vehicle or reusable aerospace systems experience
  • Flight-critical hardware experience
  • Additive manufacturing structural analysis and fatigue characterization
  • Elastic-Plastic Fracture Mechanics (EPFM) familiarity
  • Experience correlating structural, fatigue, or fracture predictions with test or flight data
  • Prior experience defining structural design allowables or durability standards for aerospace systems
