What this role is
This role owns the accuracy and health of QuickBooks Workforce's payroll tax compliance portfolio across US and Canada, acting as the bridge between tax agencies, engineering, and operations to detect regulatory changes and translate them into product requirements. Required
- 3+ years payroll tax compliance or tax operations experience
- Knowledge of payroll tax filing requirements and reconciliation processes
- Ability to read and interpret tax agency file specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Manage multiple concurrent items across many jurisdictions
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Nice to have
- Experience with varying tax jurisdictions and filing methods
- Experience designing compliance workflows or intake processes
- Familiarity with EFW2, NACHA, or agency-specific file formats
- Experience preparing compliance documentation for audits
- Exposure to automation tools and scripting
- Experience translating compliance requirements for engineering teams
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
