What they ask for
Required
- 8+ years leading data science, applied statistics, or machine learning projects with measurable business impact
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in a quantitative field, or bachelor's degree plus equivalent applied experience
- Experience with marketing, growth, marketplace, and/or product optimization problems
- Strong statistical inference and causal inference knowledge
- Experience applying machine learning to targeting, personalization, segmentation, or lifecycle optimization
- Advanced proficiency with SQL and Python
- Ability to define technical strategy and raise quality across teams
- Strong business judgment and stakeholder management
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including to executives
- Experience mentoring data scientists or analysts
Nice to have
- Experience with marketing measurement methods including media mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, channel incrementality, forecasting, or budget allocation
- Experience with analytics tools such as Amplitude, Google Analytics, Optimizely, or GrowthBook
- Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Airflow, Git, Looker, or Tableau
- Experience operationalizing AI or ML workflows with engineering partners
- Experience with adaptive experimentation including frequentist A/B tests, multi-arm bandits, or contextual bandits
- Experience using AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis and coding
