What they ask for

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 5-7+ years of heat treatment process engineering in aerospace manufacturing
  • NADCAP and AS9100 experience
  • Deep knowledge of nickel-based superalloy heat treatment metallurgy
  • Understanding of aerospace heat treatment specifications and additive manufacturing heat treatment requirements
  • Furnace Installation qualification and calibration experience
  • Vacuum furnace operations and cycle development
  • Technical writing (specifications, SOPs, work instructions)
  • Experience training and managing manufacturing technicians

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Material characterization proficiency (hardness testing, tensile testing per ASTM E8, metallographic evaluation)
