This role manages the technical backbone of spacecraft and satellite design—defining how products are structured in CAD systems, maintaining accurate parts lists, and coordinating changes across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams. It suits someone with deep PLM/PDM expertise and configuration management experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing who can bridge the gap between what engineers design and what gets built.

What they ask for

Required

  • US Citizen
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in PLM/PDM engineering data management, configuration management, or product structure role
  • Expertise building and managing multi-level CAD-sourced BOMs with variant/option management
  • Knowledge of engineering change management processes (ECO/ECN workflows, deviations, waivers)
  • Proficiency in at least one major CAD platform (SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo, or NX)
  • Experience managing data integrations between PLM and ERP/MES systems
  • Strong analytical skills to trace data flows and identify structural errors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel or equivalent data tools

Nice to have

  • Aerospace or defense experience
  • Configuration management planning documentation experience (CMPs, CSA, FCA/PCA)
  • Experience supporting model-based enterprise (MBE) or digital thread initiatives
  • Power BI or similar reporting platform experience
