What they ask for
Required
- 3+ years in software engineering, customer engineering, solutions engineering, or product engineering
- Experience with DoD, Civilian Agencies, Intelligence Community, or federal system integrators
- Python and JavaScript fundamentals with systems thinking
- Experience designing agent-based or LLM-powered systems including multi-step workflows, orchestration, guardrails, and failure handling
- Familiarity with secure cloud environments like AWS GovCloud or Azure Government
- Ability to operate in regulated environments with security and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting technical evaluations, architecture reviews, and competitive processes
- Clear communication of technical tradeoffs to government stakeholders
- Ownership mindset focused on mission outcomes
- Comfort with ambiguity and bias toward action
Nice to have
- Active or prior U.S. security clearance at Secret level or higher
- Experience deploying AI systems in classified or air-gapped environments
- Knowledge of FedRAMP authorization or DoD Impact Levels (IL2–IL6)
- Experience with LLM evaluation, observability, red-teaming, or guardrails in high-assurance settings
- Production experience with AWS, Azure, containers, Kubernetes, and secure networking
- Experience working with federal system integrators like Booz Allen, SAIC, or Leidos
- Production experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agent frameworks
