- 3+ years of engineering experience with customer or external stakeholder exposure
- Direct experience working with media data, preferably video
- Built and operated systems that process, analyze, or deliver data at scale
- Ability to translate ambiguous requirements and communicate technical trade-offs to stakeholders
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership from problem definition through implementation and support
- High tolerance for ambiguity and bias toward action with good judgment
- Comfort with intensity and pace of fast-moving environment with concurrent priorities
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with video processing at scale: codecs, transcoding, ffmpeg, shot detection, frame sampling, or quality measurement
- Early-stage company or startup experience with broad ownership
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with search, vector embeddings, semantic retrieval, or ML-assisted data curation
- Experience evaluating or deploying vision-language models including evaluation harness development
- Product engineering experience or strong product mindset developed with users
- Experience with AWS, Databricks, Dagster, or Vercel
