- Executive-level experience leading comprehensive financial management program for federal agency or large complex organization
- Direct experience with enterprise accounting operations, financial reporting, and annual financial statement preparation
- Audit management and coordination with external auditors and offices of inspectors general
- Experience with general ledger, cash management, accounts receivable, and enterprise payment systems
- Federal agency internal control program management including control assessment and testing
- Experience managing improper payment estimates using statistically valid methodology
- Accounting degree or related field with 24 semester hours in accounting, or four years accounting experience with supplementary accounting education/certification
- Knowledge of American system of government and commitment to rule of law
- Demonstrated ability to strategically manage resources and pursue efficiency
- Demonstrated technical competence and knowledge in financial management
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire toward organizational goals
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results aligned with stated goals
Nice to have
- SES certification or SES reinstatement eligibility
- Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor certification
