What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline
- 8+ years of full-cycle design engineering experience including CAD, analysis, build and test
- Knowledge of kinematic synthesis, pneumatic/hydraulic actuation, mechatronics and instrumentation
- Knowledge of structural strength, stability and fatigue failure modes
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials and surface treatments
- Track record of technical problem-solving with hands-on hardware experience
- Communication skills to lead discussions on complex technical topics
Nice to have
- 10+ years of aerospace experience or advanced engineering degree
- Launch vehicle mechanisms design experience
- Multi-body dynamics analysis experience
- Experience in demanding fast-paced development environments
- Proficiency with NX, TeamCenter, Ansys or Femap
- Proficiency with Python or MATLAB
- Hands-on fabrication/prototyping experience such as machining, 3D printing, welding or woodworking
