What they ask for
Required
- 7+ years data engineering or market data infrastructure experience
- Current hands-on production coding
- 3+ years leading engineers while staying technically involved
- Strong KDB+/Q including complex queries, tick architecture, and HDB troubleshooting
- Strong production Python for systems-level code
- Building low-latency decoders for exchange protocols
- Understanding of multicast, packet capture, sequencing, and gap detection
- Linux proficiency with perf, strace, tcpdump, numactl
- Own production issues directly
Nice to have
- High-frequency trading, market making, or proprietary trading background
- C or C++ for performance-critical components
- Kernel-bypass or high-performance networking experience
